Participants are responsible for making their own housing arrangements. It is not the intent of the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, the Outreach Programs, or Penn State University to endorse or recommend any housing accommodations. The partial, alphabetical list given below, of housing within the State College area, is provided only as an indication of the kinds of accommodations available.

Residence Halls

On-campus housing is available for $57.25 per night double occupancy or $62.50 per night single occupancy, including a continental breakfast each day in a residence hall. Bed linens, soap, a towel, and local phone service are provided, but you should bring your own clothes hangers, alarm clock, and other personal items.

You can walk easily from the on-campus housing locations to the Life Sciences Building and downtown State College, or ride the Campus Loop and Link buses for free.

There is a room block at the Atherton Hotel, when booking a room 30 days in advance of the start date of the Symposium. Be sure to indicate that you are attending the Summer Symposium in Molecular Biology when making reservations. You can visit their Web site at http://www.athertonhotel.net. ROOM BLOCK IS NOT AVAILABLE DURING THE 30 DAYS PRIOR TO THE START OF THE SYMPOSIUM.
